FCP Fargo recently installed a new Komori MBO K8RS fully automated pallet-fed combi folder with automated arm for stacking the folded pieces onto a pallet at the end of the machine.  The pallet-style feeder on the K8RS significantly reduces touch points, which helps keep the operator focused on the quality of the product running through it. This folder is FAST and is capable of production speeds up to 16,600 sheets per hour, allowing the folder to keep up with the output of FCP's new G40P advance perfecting press.

For the last couple of months Forum Communications Printing's Fargo plant has been replacing their Komori Lithrone S50 5-color, 40 inch sheetfed press with a brand new Komori Lithrone G40P advance Perfector 40 inch sheetfed press with 8 color units. This new press is a serious beast of a commercial printing press that prints on both sides of a sheet in one pass at a rate up to 15,000 sheets per hour, and its advanced automation system dramatically reduces makeready times.
