Printing Technology

The press equipment at Forum Printing's facilities give us the flexibility to produce eye-catching finishes that will help fit all of our customer's budgets

Sheetfed

Our sheetfed presses provide us the opportunity to print high-quality pieces using up to six colors. They also have the ability to add a UV, Aqueous, Soft Touch, and other coatings to give your piece the look and feel you and your readers expect.

Web

FCP's Heatset Web Press is great for running larger quantity projects at an affordable rate. The press runs rolls of paper instead of sheets, and it has the ability to cut and fold of the back end.  All of which reduce labor costs and saves you money.

Digital

A digital press is like a color printer on steroids and is great for lower quantity projects This means that we can remove the plating and setup processes needed on our larger presses.

Book Binding Options

Perfect Binding

FCP is a Back List Printer.  This means that we print books that are perfect bound.​ A perfect bound book has the pages glued inside the cover resulting in a nice, modern spine with squared edges. Perfect binding is a great option for thicker soft-cover books with a large page-count.

A few things that make our perfect binding capabilities is that we have the ability to bind books with very small small spines. 
  • 16 page book with 100# gloss text
  • 24 page book with 80# gloss text

Saddle-Stitch

At FCP, we also offer saddle-stitching. A saddle-stitch is an affordable binding option that you commonly find in thinner books, magazines and catalogs. Saddle-stitching is a great choice for projects with smaller page counts. Ideally for projects from 8 to 128 page.

The saddle-stitch is more than budget friendly.  The process is shorter than that of perfect binding, which in-turn contributes to faster production times for those projects that are needed as soon as possible.
  • Up to 128 page book with under 65# text
  • Up to 112 page book with over 70# text 

Book Distribution

FCP's Shipping Options

FCP has the capabilities to ship or mail your books to the end customer. Whether this is simply boxing and direct shipping to a school or library, or polybagging and mailing, we have an option that will work best for your freight needs.
  • What sets us apart from other printers is the capability to collate multiple books together before placing them in a polybag for mail.
  • We have also worked on very complicated shipments where we break a list down by the school and grade levels so each school in the list receives the appropriate book for their learning needs.
