Sheetfed FridayThis will be the last weekend running our Komori S40 five-color sheetfed press. Come Monday, our old, reliable press will start getting dismantled so we can make room and pour a foundation for our new eight-color advance Perfector. It will be sad to see it go, but we are getting pretty giddy thinking about the advancements that come with the press. We will be posting updates of the install over the next couple of months. That's pretty fast, right?!? Now fast-forward 140+ years and these incredible offset printing machines can spit out up to 21,000 sheets per hour. This is truly a record-breaking speed, but most full color sheetfed presses will operate in the low to mid-teen range for quality purposes. Forum Communications Printing currently has two Komori sheetfed offset presses and five digital sheetfed presses at their Fargo location. This was the first roll fed printing machine that was capable of printing on both sides of the paper. In a wild turn of events. William Bullock died 2-years later from injuries sustained by a press he was installing for the Philadelphia Public Ledger. Forum Communications Printing uses both coldset web and heatset web presses to produce quality printed products that fit your budget. Contact us today for help with your printing needs.
