Did you know that the first fully operational web press was built in 1865 by inventor William Bullock of Pennsylvania? This was the first roll fed printing machine that was capable of printing on both sides of the paper.

In a wild turn of events. William Bullock died 2-years later from injuries sustained by a press he was installing for the Philadelphia Public Ledger.
