What is USPS Informed Delivery? 

Informed Delivery from the USPS is a feature that provides a digital preview of household mail that is arriving soon to your home mailbox. 

• Mail-piece Image: Users receive morning emails with black and white images of the exterior address side most of all letter sized mail-pieces unless the mailer replace the image with a full color image of the mail-piece.
• Representative Image: Is when a mailer replaces the grayscale image for a representative image. 
• Past Viewed Mail-piece Images: Users can view on their informeddelivery.usps.com dashboard.
• Supplemental Content: Mailers must include "Ride-along images and a URL to accompany either a grayscale black and white image or a full color Representative image.

How Does USPS Informed Delivery Work?

1. Customer signs up: Multiple residents at a single household can sign up for USPS Informed Delivery
2. Mail is imaged during processing: Mail piece is sent and electronic images are processed. 
3. Match mail images to delivery point address: Mailers interactive campaigns can be applied at this step.
4. Notification emailed to users: USPS Informed Delivery notifies users of mail arriving soon via email and/or dashboard view. 
5. User receives mail-piece:  USPS delivers mail-pieces to home mailboxes.
